British Vogue Hires Within
British Vogue EIC Edward Enninful took to Instagram this week to announce two new promotions for both former fashion editor-at-large, Julia Sarr-Jamois and former senior fashion editor, Poppy Kain to fashion directors. On the deserved promotion Enninful said, “Both Julia and Poppy are unique talents, and bring something extra special to Vogue’s fashion shoots. I can’t wait to watch them go from strength-to-strength in their new roles.” The move-up will have both fashion directors overseeing shoots for the publication’s print and digital entities. [FWD]

Singer Leaves Vogue for Bezos
US Vogue’s former creative director Sally Singer has a new position–at Amazon. In the newly created role of head of fashion direction, Singer will report to Amazon Fashion’s president, Christine Beauchamp. Singer most recently served as creative digital director at Vogue, where she launched the annual American Women photography series and produced editorial and social media content. [Vogue]

Supreme Goes Corporate
Streetwear superstar brand Supreme has been sold. The New York-based company was acquired for a whopping $2.1 billion by VF Corporation, who already own Vans, The North Face, Dickies, and Timberland. Despite the sale to a mega-corporation, fans needn’t worry about Supreme losing its authenticity, with founder James Jebbia reassuring in a statement, “This partnership will maintain our unique culture and independence while allowing us to grow on the same path we’ve been on since 1994.” [BoF]

Hearst Names New President
Condé Nast’s one-time chief operating officer Debi Chirichella is now in charge at publishing rival Hearst Magazines. This week Chirichella—who has been at Hearst since 2011—was named president of the company, taking over from Troy Young, who was ousted in July after allegations of workplace misconduct surfaced in the New York Times. Valentino Partners Up to Save Casa Magazines
The beloved West Village post of Casa Magazines has gone through the trials that COVID19 has brought most small businesses and Valentino has stepped in to help. The Italian brand is releasing a book, Vlogo Signature, that will feature interpreted logo design from 16 magazines. A percentage of the sales will go to Casa Magazines to help with staying afloat.
