Instagram to implement safety measures to protect teenagers online
INSTAGRAM is to restrict adults contacting individuals under the age of 18 and will develop artificial intelligence to identify the real age of users.
Instagram is to stop adults being able to contact teenagers who do not follow them as part of new safety measures aimed at protecting young people. Under new rules, over-18s will be blocked from sending a direct message to any Instagram user under that age if that account does not already follow them.
